It achieved a price of GBP 250,000.00 (€ 290,167.44), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Lee Byars - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Figure of Death, which sold at auction in May 2015 for USD 761,000.00 (€ 692,195.74).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 250.000,00 (€ 290.167,44) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von James Lee Byars mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Figure of Death beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für USD 761.000,00 (€ 692.195,74) versteigert wurde.
