In April this year VAN HAM held the auction On Paper | ONLINE ONLY, which included the work The Philosophical Night. by James Lee Byars. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,960.00 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Lee Byars achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Figure of Death in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 761,000.00 (€ 692,195.74).

Im April diesen Jahres führte VAN HAM die Auktion On Paper | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Philosophical Night. von James Lee Byars zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.960,00 und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Lee Byars erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Figure of Death im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 761.000,00 (€ 692.195,74).
