A top price for James Herbert Snell - as previously expected
The work The willow pool by James Herbert Snell was sold in the British & European Art auction at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The willow pool is the most expensive artwork by James Herbert Snell that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit The willow pool von James Herbert Snell wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion British & European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.692,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The willow pool das teuerste Kunstwerk von James Herbert Snell, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
