Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A peep of St. Pauls from Primrose Hill by James Herbert Snell was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 650.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Herbert Snell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The willow pool in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54).

Die Arbeit A peep of St. Pauls from Primrose Hill von James Herbert Snell kam im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 411,25 (€ 650,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Herbert Snell erzielen.
