Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The mirror of the woods by James Herbert Snell was auctioned at Christies in London in March 2003. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,232.50 (€ 3,234.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Herbert Snell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The willow pool, which sold at auction in July 2020 for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The mirror of the woods von James Herbert Snell kam im März 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.232,50 (€ 3.234,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von James Herbert Snell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The willow pool beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.692,54) versteigert wurde.
