Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Michaelmas Daisies by James Herbert Snell. The price achieved of GBP 300.00 (€ 433.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 250.00 – 350.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Herbert Snell achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The willow pool in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Michaelmas Daisies von James Herbert Snell zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 300,00 (€ 433,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 250,00 – 350,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Herbert Snell erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The willow pool im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.692,54).
