In May this year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Noran by James Brooks. The »bidding war« ended at USD 69,850.00 (€ 65,562.23), 75% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by James Brooks - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work M-51, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,592.16).

Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Noran von James Brooks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 69.850,00 (€ 65.562,23) und damit 75% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von James Brooks mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit M-51 beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 187.500,00 (€ 165.592,16) versteigert wurde.
