Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by James Brooks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in New York in August last year. In the Prints & Multiples Summer Splash auction, the work The Springs sold for USD 2,805.00 (€ 2,786.89) - well above the upper estimate of USD 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by James Brooks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work M-51 in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 187,500.00 (€ 165,592.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von James Brooks erzielte im August letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples Summer Splash wurde die Arbeit The Springs für USD 2.805,00 (€ 2.786,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von James Brooks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit M-51 im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 187.500,00 (€ 165.592,16).
