Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by James Bishop was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in New York in November 2018. The »bidding war« ended at USD 47,500.00 (€ 41,950.01), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by James Bishop have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work For Viola Farber in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 295,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von James Bishop wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 41.950,01) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von James Bishop auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit For Viola Farber im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 295.500,00.
