Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Jacqueline Humphries achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2021. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work without title sold for USD 250,000.00 (€ 221,493.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jacqueline Humphries - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 687,500.00 (€ 609,107.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jacqueline Humphries erzielte im November 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 250.000,00 (€ 221.493,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 100.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jacqueline Humphries mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 687.500,00 (€ 609.107,82) versteigert wurde.
