In March 2007 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work Devotional by Jack Levine. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,000.00 (€ 8,972.63), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jack Levine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Princess in December 2011 with an auction result of USD 86,500.00 (€ 66,676.94).

Im März 2007 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Devotional von Jack Levine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.000,00 (€ 8.972,63) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jack Levine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Princess im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 86.500,00 (€ 66.676,94).
