Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,729.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Italo Scanga - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Landscape With Jug) Signed And Dated 'Italo Scanga 1988' (Lower Right) Acrylic And Gouache On Paper In Artist Frame 45¾ X 35½ In. (116.2 X 90.2 Cm.) Painted In 1988. Untitled (Tree And Coin) Signed And Dated 'Italo Scanga 1989' (Lower Ce, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,895.83).

Die Arbeit A Tree in Rome von Italo Scanga kam im November 2012 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.729,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
