In September 2002 Christies in New York held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Soda Fountain (T.46) by Isabel Bishop. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,031.50 (€ 2,056.38), 35% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isabel Bishop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude by Stream in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 49,350.00 (€ 51,702.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im September 2002 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Soda Fountain (T.46) von Isabel Bishop zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.031,50 (€ 2.056,38) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isabel Bishop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude by Stream im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 49.350,00 (€ 51.702,46).
