Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Card Players (recto); and a sketch (verso) by Isabel Bishop for USD 540.00 (€ 393.84). This price was achieved in the auction House Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isabel Bishop achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nude by Stream in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 49,350.00 (€ 51,702.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Card Players (recto); and a sketch (verso) von Isabel Bishop für USD 540,00 (€ 393,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion House Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isabel Bishop erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nude by Stream im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 49.350,00 (€ 51.702,46).
