In April 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction THE DR ANTON C.R. DREESMANN COLLECTION: DUTCH PICTURES & WOA, which included the work The Dam, Amsterdam, with the Town Hall on the left and the Nieuwe Kerk on the right by Isaac Ouwater. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 82,250.00 65% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Isaac Ouwater; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side sold at auction in May 2003 with the realized price of EUR 164,450.00.

Im April 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion THE DR ANTON C.R. DREESMANN COLLECTION: DUTCH PICTURES & WOA durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dam, Amsterdam, with the Town Hall on the left and the Nieuwe Kerk on the right von Isaac Ouwater zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 82.250,00 und damit 65% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Isaac Ouwater; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side im Mai 2003 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 164.450,00.
