Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master Paintings Sale, which included the work Amsterdam: A View Of The Weesperplein With The Weesperpoort, The Corn Mill 'Het Fortuyn' On The Fortification Weesp In The Background by Isaac Ouwater. The price achieved of EUR 30,750.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Isaac Ouwater have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side in May 2003 with an auction result of EUR 164,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master Paintings Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Amsterdam: A View Of The Weesperplein With The Weesperpoort, The Corn Mill 'Het Fortuyn' On The Fortification Weesp In The Background von Isaac Ouwater zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 30.750,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Isaac Ouwater auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 164.450,00.
