Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters & British Paintings, which included the work A river landscape with anglers on the shore and a windmill; and A river landscape with anglers in a boat and figures on a bridge by Isaac Ouwater. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,680.84), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac Ouwater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side in May 2003 with an auction result of EUR 164,450.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Masters & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A river landscape with anglers on the shore and a windmill; and A river landscape with anglers in a boat and figures on a bridge von Isaac Ouwater zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.680,84) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac Ouwater erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 164.450,00.
