Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures and a wagon outside an inn by Isaac Ouwater was sold in the Old Master Paintings auction at Bonhams in London in December this year. The price achieved of GBP 5,120.00 (€ 5,898.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Isaac Ouwater achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side in May 2003 with an auction result of EUR 164,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Figures and a wagon outside an inn von Isaac Ouwater wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Old Master Paintings bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.120,00 (€ 5.898,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Isaac Ouwater erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Amsterdam: The 't Spaarne canal in Slooterdijk with the ferry office and the tollgate on the left hand side im Mai 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 164.450,00.
