Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Carter, Anna, And Daryl (From Garden Of Delights) (Triptych) by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,682.18). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Baiser/The Kiss I, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,571.96).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Carter, Anna, And Daryl (From Garden Of Delights) (Triptych) von Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle im März 2016 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.682,18) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Baiser/The Kiss I beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 26.400,00 (€ 20.571,96) versteigert wurde.
