Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2009 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Paternity Test (self-portrait with parents) by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 10,837.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2006 the work Le Baiser/The Kiss I was auctioned for USD 26,400.00 (€ 20,571.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2009 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paternity Test (self-portrait with parents) von Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 10.837,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2006 die Arbeit Le Baiser/The Kiss I für USD 26.400,00 (€ 20.571,96) versteigert.
