The work Pintando Un Cielo by Ignacio Iturria was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2013. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,549.12) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ignacio Iturria - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Avión azul en la bañera, which sold at auction in May 2001 for USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).

Die Arbeit Pintando Un Cielo von Ignacio Iturria wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.549,12) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ignacio Iturria mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Avión azul en la bañera beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für USD 35.250,00 (€ 41.691,31) versteigert wurde.
