In November 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale, which included the work Mesa con cubiertos by Ignacio Iturria. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,686.40), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ignacio Iturria have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Avión azul en la bañera in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 35,250.00 (€ 41,691.31).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mesa con cubiertos von Ignacio Iturria zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.686,40) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ignacio Iturria auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Avión azul en la bañera im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.250,00 (€ 41.691,31).
