Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Hugo McCloud. The price achieved of USD 15,000.00 (€ 14,126.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hugo McCloud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work To Be Titled, 2014 in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,312.50 (€ 65,053.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hugo McCloud zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 14.126,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hugo McCloud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit To Be Titled, 2014 im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.312,50 (€ 65.053,55).
