Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Huang Yan could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Tattoo Landscape - No. 3 changed hands for USD 3,438.00 (€ 2,713.92) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Huang Yan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Huang Yan konnte im Juni 2012 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit Tattoo Landscape - No. 3 für USD 3.438,00 (€ 2.713,92) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Huang Yan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
