Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Face Painting: Plum, Orchid, Bamboo And Chrysanthemum by Huang Yan was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in April 2013. The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,325.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Huang Yan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tattoo Series, Plants in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,694.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Face Painting: Plum, Orchid, Bamboo And Chrysanthemum von Huang Yan wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.325,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Huang Yan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tattoo Series, Plants im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.694,97).
