Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wall Sculpture with Two Holes by Herbert Bayer was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in March last year. The price achieved of USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,298.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Herbert Bayer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mirage In The Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,427.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wall Sculpture with Two Holes von Herbert Bayer kam im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.298,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Herbert Bayer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mirage In The Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.427,98).
