This artwork by Herbert Bayer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Quadrilateral sold for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,505.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Herbert Bayer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mirage In The Mountains in July 2020 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 139,427.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Herbert Bayer erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Quadrilateral für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.505,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Herbert Bayer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mirage In The Mountains im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 139.427,98).
