The work The duck pond by Henry Maidment was sold in the At Home - British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in May 2004. It achieved a price of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,524.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 45%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Maidment - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding the ducks, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27).
