Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A tranquil stretch of the river by Henry Maidment was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2003. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,433.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Maidment - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding the ducks, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27).

Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Maidment mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Feeding the ducks beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.932,27) versteigert wurde.
