Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Figures haymaking, an extensive landscape beyond by Henry Maidment was sold in the THE PROPERTY OF THE LATE N. SINCLAIR, ESQ. auction at Christies in London in May 2001. The price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 886.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Maidment have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Feeding the ducks in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 886,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Maidment auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Feeding the ducks im September 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.932,27).
