A top price for Henry Maidment - as previously expected
The work Feeding the ducks by Henry Maidment was sold in the BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES auction at Christies in London in September 2000. The price achieved of GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Feeding the ducks is the most expensive artwork by Henry Maidment that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Feeding the ducks von Henry Maidment wurde im September 2000 in der Auktion BRITISH AND VICTORIAN PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.932,27) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Feeding the ducks das teuerste Kunstwerk von Henry Maidment, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
