Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bringing in the flock by Henry Maidment was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,572.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Maidment - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Feeding the ducks, which sold at auction in September 2000 for GBP 2,350.00 (€ 3,932.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bringing in the flock von Henry Maidment kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.572,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Henry Maidment mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Feeding the ducks beobachtet, die im September 2000 für GBP 2.350,00 (€ 3.932,27) versteigert wurde.
