Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction The Althorp Attic Sale - Including the Spencer Carriages, which included the work Portrait of Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan (1731-1804), full-length, in naval uniform, a sea battle beyond by Henry Edridge. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,653.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Edridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nôtre Dame And Pont Marie From The Pont du Jardin du Roi, Paris, France in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,147.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Althorp Attic Sale - Including the Spencer Carriages durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Adam Duncan, 1st Viscount Duncan (1731-1804), full-length, in naval uniform, a sea battle beyond von Henry Edridge zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.653,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Edridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nôtre Dame And Pont Marie From The Pont du Jardin du Roi, Paris, France im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.147,32).
