This artwork by Henry Edridge achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2020. In the Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection auction, the work Portrait of William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk (1758-1831) sold for GBP 3,276.00 (€ 3,659.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Edridge have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nôtre Dame And Pont Marie From The Pont du Jardin du Roi, Paris, France in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,147.32).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Edridge erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper, including Portrait Miniatures from the Pohl-Ströher Collection wurde die Arbeit Portrait of William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk (1758-1831) für GBP 3.276,00 (€ 3.659,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Henry Edridge auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nôtre Dame And Pont Marie From The Pont du Jardin du Roi, Paris, France im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.147,32).
