Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work L’Entrée Du Château by Henri Edmond Cross was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,692.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 20%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Edmond Cross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).

Die Arbeit L’Entrée Du Château von Henri Edmond Cross wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.692,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 20%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Edmond Cross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.150.000,00 (€ 2.583.237,66).
