Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings and Drawings, which included the work A house behind a tree by Henri Edmond Cross. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,386.00 (€ 1,199.79), 16% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Edmond Cross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A house behind a tree von Henri Edmond Cross zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.386,00 (€ 1.199,79) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Edmond Cross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.150.000,00 (€ 2.583.237,66).
