The work La toilette by Henri Edmond Cross was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March last year. It achieved a price of GBP 554,400.00 (€ 657,303.60), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 58%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henri Edmond Cross - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence), which sold at auction in May 2021 for USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).

Die Arbeit La toilette von Henri Edmond Cross kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 554.400,00 (€ 657.303,60) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 58%. Für andere Arbeiten von Henri Edmond Cross mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für USD 3.150.000,00 (€ 2.583.237,66) versteigert wurde.
