Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections, which included the work Vue du Bois de Boulogne by Henri Edmond Cross. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,048.00 (€ 5,224.15). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henri Edmond Cross achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) in May 2021 with an auction result of USD 3,150,000.00 (€ 2,583,237.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion From Daumier to Olitski: Select Works from The William Louis-Dreyfus Foundation and Family Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue du Bois de Boulogne von Henri Edmond Cross zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.048,00 (€ 5.224,15) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Henri Edmond Cross erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Faux Poivrier (Provence) im Mai 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.150.000,00 (€ 2.583.237,66).
