Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Hans Coper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2019. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Ovoid Pot With Disc sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,135.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Coper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cycladic arrow form, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Coper erzielte im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Ovoid Pot With Disc für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.135,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 18.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Coper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cycladic arrow form beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 156.250,00 (€ 176.201,80) versteigert wurde.
