This artwork by Hans Coper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March 2020. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Small Spade Form sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,230.12) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hans Coper have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cycladic arrow form in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Coper erzielte im März 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Small Spade Form für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.230,12) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hans Coper auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cycladic arrow form im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 156.250,00 (€ 176.201,80).
