This artwork by Hans Coper achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October last year. In the Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale auction, the work Large Flattened Bottle With Disc Top sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 66,054.87) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Coper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cycladic arrow form, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Hans Coper erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Large Flattened Bottle With Disc Top für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 66.054,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Hans Coper mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cycladic arrow form beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 156.250,00 (€ 176.201,80) versteigert wurde.
