Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Post-War British Art, which included the work Large Spade Form by Hans Coper. The price achieved of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 56,263.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hans Coper - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cycladic arrow form, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 156,250.00 (€ 176,201.80).
