In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Memoria Ii by Gustavo Vélez. The auction ended at the price of USD 30,000.00 (€ 27,225.70), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. Other works by Gustavo Vélez have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2015 the work Visions was auctioned for USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).

Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Memoria Ii von Gustavo Vélez zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 27.225,70) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Gustavo Vélez konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Visions für USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48) versteigert.
