Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Print Shop, from In the Hills o' Brown by Gustave Baumann was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 2,085.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Baumann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Processional in March this year with an auction result of USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,800.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Print Shop, from In the Hills o' Brown von Gustave Baumann kam im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 2.085,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Baumann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Processional im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.800,22).
