The work Malapai by Gustave Baumann was sold in the Prints & Multiples auction at Bonhams in March this year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,141.00), 51% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Baumann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Processional, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 28,050.00 (€ 25,800.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Malapai von Gustave Baumann wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & Multiples bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.141,00) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Baumann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Processional beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 28.050,00 (€ 25.800,22) versteigert wurde.
