The work "Looking at Paintings" by Gunnel Wåhlstrand was sold in the Contemporary, Stockholm auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2011. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 1,650,000.00 (€ 181,520.85), 38% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gunnel Wåhlstrand - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "New Year's Day", which sold at auction in May 2014 for SEK 3,600,000.00 (€ 394,574.78).

Die Arbeit "Looking at Paintings" von Gunnel Wåhlstrand wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Contemporary, Stockholm bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 1.650.000,00 (€ 181.520,85) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gunnel Wåhlstrand mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "New Year's Day" beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für SEK 3.600.000,00 (€ 394.574,78) versteigert wurde.
