Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2021 Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session, which included the work House Plan with Blood Flow by Guillermo Kuitca. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 35,722.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guillermo Kuitca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diarios (2000-2005) in November last year with an auction result of USD 567,000.00 (€ 549,258.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2021 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale - Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit House Plan with Blood Flow von Guillermo Kuitca zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 35.722,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guillermo Kuitca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diarios (2000-2005) im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 567.000,00 (€ 549.258,94).
