Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Sin Título by Gonzalo Fonseca. It changed hands for a price of USD 21,250.00 (€ 18,209.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin Título von Gonzalo Fonseca zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 18.209,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonzalo Fonseca erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Madre Cava im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 468.500,00 (€ 416.963,33).
