Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Puerto Con Grafismos by Gonzalo Fonseca was sold in the Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online auction at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,066.84) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).

Die Arbeit Puerto Con Grafismos von Gonzalo Fonseca wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Property from the Estate of Bernard Chappard Online bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.066,84) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
