Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Pintura Constructiva (Formas And Paisaje): A Double-Sided Painting by Gonzalo Fonseca was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,497.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonzalo Fonseca achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Madre Cava in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 468,500.00 (€ 416,963.33).
